Why did we choose to be in a fraternity?
we as a chapter believe that when you join a fraternity , you are joining more than a group of individuals. you are Joining a Family.
What makes us who we are?
Our chapter prides itself that our members are active both in the fraternity and around the Case Western Reserve Community. Our members are active in a wide range of extracurricular activities including:
- Student Government Officers
- Club and Varsity Athletics
- Orientation Leaders
- Residential College Representatives
- Teaching Assistants
- Research Assistants
- Campus Clubs
- Music Performance Groups and ensembles
Although we are all very involved in outside activities, we are college students above all else. In Beta, we have a large support network that is always willing to help our members in any way we can academically. From study groups, course selection support, to one-on-one tutoring to ensure that we are all focused on our schoolwork while building brotherhood at the same time.
Service and Community
We are lucky to have the opportunity to work with many great community service organizations around the City of Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Community. All of our members are required to complete a certain amount of community service hours a semester and we hold several service events every semester.
Every fall, we hold the Steven P. Arnold Chariot Race in support of Diabetes Awareness. We partner with the Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland to throw a campus-wide event with other Greek chapters and Campus Organizations building and racing chariots while having music performances and speakers from the community coming to talk about Diabetes and how it affects people's lives. The event is in honor of Brother Steven P. Arnold (CWRU '84) who passed away due to Diabetes shortly after graduating from Case Western.
Our time in college is finite, but we are trying to create something that will last for more than four years. In Beta, we believe that once you are a brother you are brother for live. During the year, our brothers participate in other chapter's philanthropy events, Greek Week, and other events around campus. We hold brotherhood events to get to know each other at a deeper level while still having a good time. We are all here for one another even after graduation comes around.
